What types of bamboo do you remove?

Bamboo falls into two categories -clumping bamboo and running bamboo. We remove both types of bamboo together with their rhizomes (underground stems).

How much does your bamboo removal service cost?

Typically our bamboo removal service costs £745. This price is current as at April 2024 and includes the survey (we offer a free survey to all homeowners) safe disposal of the bamboo, installation of a Du Pont Plantex bamboo resistant membrane and backfilling with new premium sifted topsoil. We use the Du Pont membrane as although it is not the cheapest membrane, it is one of the highest specification membranes with root resistance to CEN/TS 144416 and Tensile Strength of 22 kN/m (EN ISO 10319). Due to its high specification the membrane requires very little ongoing maintenance.

We hold a waste carriers licence issued by the Environment Agency to enable us to take the bamboo and its rhizomes away to reduce the risk of the bamboo re establishing itself somewhere else on your property.

How do your services work?

Firstly, we will visit your property at a time and date convenient to you and inspect the bamboo to be removed. We will undertake a free survey and assess how long the process will take our professional team and any access requirements. For your peace of mind, we will discuss the bamboo removal process with you and provide a full (no obligation) written quotation on the day we visit, this will set out the scope of the works to be completed and the costs for the works.

If you are happy with the quotation we will book you into our diary for the next available appointment. On the day of the appointment our small professional team will arrive at the property and commence the safe physical removal of the bamboo, the bamboo rhizomes and any associated soil. We remove the rhizomes and associated soil of the plant to stop regrowth. Once removal has been carried out we will install a bamboo resistant membrane to prevent any regrowth and back fill with new premium topsoil.
